Aestivation - at last, a skiing movie with an all-European cast. It boasts lavish production and great skill in execution, courtesy of the Garhammer Brothers, Max and Mo. To shoot the intro scene and introduce each free rider, the two reached deeply into their bag of tricks for lots of dramatic effect during the "wake-up phase", right in keeping with the movie's title, "Aestivation". Freezers, ice skating rinks, burrows, and slaughterhouses loaded with real pig halves wound up being turned into sets...
And of course the guys spent all winter outside and collected tons of footage. After the shoots, motivation still ran high, and so they set their sights on the next project: "Aestivation 2"...
