Four young adventurers document their five-month trip along the Yenisei River. They are the first to cover the 3400-mile distance that separates the headwaters in Mongolia from the estuary in the Arctic Sea and spans the Siberian landmass. The team consisting of Canadian and Australian nationals fights its way through waves, storms, and high water by piloting kayaks, rafts, and a creaky old Russian wooden boat. On the river's banks, they are greeted with generous hospitality time and again and meet a wide variety of people, without whose help this exceptional adventure would not have been possible.
