What happens in our name? Patagonia has always used manufacturing sites all over the globe to make the best possible product. In the beginning, almost half of our production hailed from the U.S. but the share of U.S.-made goods has declined steadily because fabric makers and sewing businesses have increasingly been setting up shop on other continents. Today, the only high-quality products that can be manufactured in the U.S. while turning a healthy profit are limited to the most basic ones.
But Patagonia will also be responsible for product quality and performance and, what’s even better, the social and ecological repercussions of its production activities.
