James Pearson - Interview
James Pearson made a name for himself in the Peak District, Britain's first national park, established in 1951, where he grew up surrounded by some of the country's finest climbing. The youthful top performer talks about some of his other favorite spots.
Aged 15, he donned his first pair of rock boots and quickly started climbing some of Gritstone's hardest and boldest routes with unwavering enthusiasm and an innate ability to move with the rock. By the age of 19, James was one of the UK's brightest talents and had proved he could hold his own on all rock types with a spectacular array of hard ascents in Europe and North America.
